This is another good-news update on several fronts. First, our Community Forum fundraiser on January 27 was outstanding – thank you Joel, Josef and all the amazing volunteers! More than $700 was raised toward the film production. Including the online contribution tally, in the 5 weeks since launching, we’re now at $4,094… over 50% of our minimum budget goal!
But we have a ways to go in these final 3 weeks. I’m asking for and envisioning contributions from 45 of those who are reading these words, and who have felt supportive of what we’re doing. If you would like to be part of stopping smart meters in BC and around the world, please consider taking a moment now, to donate what you can via our IndieGogo page. Every amount is helping, from $15 to $500, and we know this feature film will be an integral part in the change that is already happening. (More on the change-making updates & videos below!) Thank you, sincerely, for standing with us and making it possible to get this grassroots work out there.
I would also like to welcome my good friend and veteran filmmaker Steven Miko Burns to the production team as co-director and cinematographer, joining Ronnie Novak behind the camera. Steven and I have been shooting some great (actually bombshell) interviews around the lower mainland the past 2 weeks… you’re going to love the material in the feature, and with your help, we hope to complete and release it within mere weeks.
Finally, I’m very glad to announce that the temporary YouTube copyright issue has now been completely resolved, and the original video link has been restored. Watch & share the Stop Smart Meters: The Film trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pcGAv4rTko

Our trailer has been restored to YouTube this week, with more than 24,000 views. This is the link for embedding or sharing!
A 6-minute inspirational piece I’ve put together as a promo for the film. Gandhi’s message is perhaps more relevent today than ever before.
Enjoy this one. BC Hydro PR repeater Cindy Verschoor is “unsure” about a simple question on BC citizens’ rights. Remember, get everything on paper.
From last week, this 9-part video is an excellent forum presentation on smart meters and the actual science behind the dangers of wireless radiation.

From Jan 30, this is a comprehensive and encouraging 15-minute update from Walt McInnes and Tammy of stopsmartmeters.ca.
